Raspberry Pi Foundation founder & trustee, Eben announced today that Model B of the popular hobbyist motherboard now comes with more RAM.  The new version will start shipping with 512MB of RAM instead of 256MB. This should be a welcome news  to users who have complained about the performance degrade because of the limited RAM available in earlier version.

All customers with a pending order for Model B will be receiving the updated version , Eben announced in  the Raspberry Pi blog.

Raspberry Pi still comes with a lead time of 4 to 5 weeks. The association with Sony and shifting the manufacturing to UK is said to improve this waiting period.
